NUWAVE RESEARCH ANNOUNCES R&D PARTNERSHIP WITH SASKATCHEWAN RESEARCH
NuWave Research Inc. (NuWave Research), a global leader in designing and manufacturing microwave systems, is pleased to announce they will be supplying an R&D microwave system to the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc. (Food Centre). The Food Centre is an innovative organization dedicated to helping the development and production of food products.
The R&D microwave system at the Food Centre is a vacuum tray-based microwave system (The Atlas). The fully electric microwave system will be housed at the Food Centre for technology development projects and commercialization activities. The Atlas is NuWave Research’s R&D batch processing system with flexible processing capabilities, ideal for new product development. The system will enable fast, energy-efficient drying in the development of healthy snacks, novel proteins, fruits and vegetables, upcycled processing waste, low fat meats, as well as many other innovative applications in the food industry.
The Atlas system will offer NuWave Research’s technology for rapid, low temperature drying, while preserving nutrients, quality, and color. NuWave Research’s drying systems benefit a diverse customer base including ingredient manufacturers, novel protein, healthy single ingredient snacks, food innovators, processors and many more.
